Oral tube is also a component of inflatable pfd, it is commonly a tube with valve incorporated into a personal flotation device (PFD) that allows the wearer to blow air into the air chamber(s) using their mouth. This inflation method is commonly used as a backup option in case the primary inflation mechanism fails or for adding additional air to fine-tune the device's buoyancy.
Air Blowing: The primary function of the oral tube is to allow wearers to below the air into the air chamber(s). This is especially important in situations where the primary inflation method, such as the manual/automatic inflator fails or is unavailable.
Emergency Backup: The oral tube serves as an emergency backup mechanism. If the automatic inflator fails to activate upon water immersion or if there's an issue with the CO2 cartridge-based inflation system, the wearer can rely on the oral tube to manually inflate the device.
User Control: The oral tube provides wearers with a level of control over their buoyancy. By manually inflating the device through the oral tube, wearers can adjust the level of buoyancy to suit their comfort and the conditions of the water.
